PEACE SKATES

October 22, 2025

Almost exactly a year ago, pro skater Nils Jansons reached out to Grandpa with a wild idea to design a one-of-a-kind pair of skates. What started as a creative experiment quickly turned into something much bigger: the world’s largest PEACE lettering, painted across an airfield and visible even from the sky. [ Here you can see the full project ]
The concept caught the attention of Italian skate legends ROCES, who decided it was time to make things official. And so, based on that first experimental concept, the ROCES PEACE aggressive inline skates were born - or, to be precise, the “M12 PLUS JANSONS PEACE.”

Each pair carries the exact coordinates of the giant PEACE artwork, just in case you forget where it’s located. In fact, if you type “The Biggest Peace in the World” into Google Maps, you’ll find the location marked right there in Latvia, Talsi. A small reminder that art can travel far beyond walls or canvases.
The skates comes with a bunch of detailing like the wheels featuring "PEACE" name written in seven languages. On the sides you'll find MAGIC BOOTS [Nils brand] and KIWIE icons, along with extinguisher splashes shaped like KIWIE monster teeth as the main colourful accent. Each splatters shape was made by Grandpa himself in the studio, scanned and turned into a printable graphic. Only 300 pairs will ever be produced, each individually numbered and embroidered.

Nils and Grandpa are heading to Los Angeles to attend The Blading Cup on October 31 and November 1 - so, if you’re there, be sure to stop by, say hi, and see the skates in person. The skates are now available for pre-order exclusively on the ROCES website - a limited edition built not just for skating, but for spreading a message the world needs more than ever: PEACE.
